Jón Staekenborg

After finishing a music degree in trumpet and conducting, the need of creating something that lasts, next to making music, was strong.

My mom once said “We share the same interest in how things work, only I mostly destroy them forever, and you manage to fix everything.”

By coincidence I was introduced to the art of upholstery and restoration, and caught by this craftsmanship. This resulted in a two month internship, where I got the advice to “just” start on my own. So I am a self-taught upholsterer.
