Swedish Glass Ceiling Light with Brass details

Scandinavian style started around 1930s, when the Nordic countries of Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark were at the height of social democracy. Notable design elements of Scandinavian design include clean lines, functionality and evocative shapes drawn from nature. Scandinavian chandeliers showcase these features in a larger and elaborate silhouette as they hang from the ceiling. Scandinavian style, also called Nordic lighting, come from the same period as mid-century modern design, with the American equivalent somewhat sharing the same qualities. Many ceiling lights are designed to command the room by presenting a full layer of light to the entire space.
